It is a lonely bungalow surrounded by thick woods filled with towering trees. It was situated about eight kilometers from the town. What a countryside retreat. A lovely garden with blooming flowers, neatly trimmed bushes, and an old charm made the house beautiful from the outside. But sometimes beauty hides the darkest secrets of a haunted house.
George and his wife Jane, along with their seven-year-old daughter Alice and two -year-old son Joe, moved into this bungalow. George is an engineer by profession. This bungalow was provided by his company. It is a peaceful, scenic, and perfect place for the children to play.
Two blissful days had passed. They enjoyed the calm environment, the fresh air, and the quiet nights.
But things took a turn on the third night.
The First Whisper (creepy whisper, haunted bungalow)
The
children had fallen asleep quickly after
dinner, and Jane went to the restroom to brush her teeth. It was around 9 p.m
“ Get out of my house,” she heard a faint whisper, a chilling paranormal experience she could not explain.
‘It must be the wind rustling through the
woods or some strange echo,’ she thought, and brushed it off at first.
But the voice returned the next night, this time louder and clearer. And surprisingly, it repeated three times: “ Get out of my house.” A chill ran down her spine. She told George about it.
To her surprise, he said he had heard the same whisper since the very first night they moved in, but he had ignored it.
"Nature is always unpredictable. Since our house is surrounded by woods, voices and strange sounds can be
heard. Don’t worry". George said.
They went to bed and decided not to overthink about it. Nothing disturbed them that
night.
The Morning Mess (paranormal activity in the house)
Jane woke up early the next morning and went to the hall. "Oh my gosh….". She was stunned.
Flower vases were smashed, cups lay broken on the carpet, and the tablecloth was crumpled on the floor.
"What the hell?" George said, equally shocked, George. " may be a cat got in," Jane said. ‘There is no way for an animal to enter the hall, Jane,’ George said.
George had to report the incident to his office authorities. Any damage or any occurrence in the property has to be reported to the office.
The Midnight Encounter (dark female figure, supernatural encounter)
Everyone went to bed early, and that night seemed to be normal.
“ Get out of my house,” George work up, startled. He was sure he heard a cold whisper next to his ear. It was around
midnight.
His heart racing, he sat up abruptly.
“What the hell is that?“ he said to himself as he heard faint noises from the hall. Without waking Jane or the children, he crept to the door and peered into the dimly lit hall, illuminated faintly by moonlight streaming through the window.
There, in the far corner where the television stood, in the dim hall, a dark female figure stood motionless—a classic haunting in the woods. His body froze, sweat dripping down his forehead. Suddenly, the light flicked on. Jane stood behind him, asking, “What happened?”
In that instant, the figure vanished into thin air.
The Warning (haunted history of the house)
“ Wind or animals cannot cause such a disturbance when the windows were shut,” said one of the officers who visited and examined the hall the next day.
Then, pulling George aside, he spoke quietly:
“Listen… strange things have happened here before. The last tenant reported even worse disturbances. You should be careful. I suggest you speak to the father at the nearby church.”
He gave George the priest’s number and left.
The Priest’s Revelation ( ghost backstory, haunted bungalow story)
Later that day, Father Matthew arrived.
“I’ve been here before. This bungalow has a terrifying history. A restless spirit haunts this house,” Father Matthew warned. "She can be calmed for a while, but she always returns. You must leave this place.” Said Father Mathew gravely after walking through the house, sprinkling holy water, and reciting prayers.
Then he told them the chilling backstory.
Years ago, a young couple, Allen and Fiona, lived in the bungalow. They were happy at first, but over time, Allen’s mental health deteriorated. His behavior became unpredictable and sometimes violent. When Fiona became pregnant, things worsened.
One tragic day, Fiona was found dead in the bathroom, three months pregnant. The investigation revealed that Allen had killed her in a fit of rage. He was sent to a mental hospital, but Fiona’s spirit never left the house.
“She hates men,” the priest said. “Especially those who live here. I can keep her away for a short time, but there’s no permanent solution. Leave for your family’s safety.”
The Last Sight (( ghostly sighting, female spirit)
For the next few days, things were calm. George requested a transfer to another house, and his boss approved it. They planned to move out soon.
One evening, around 7 p.m., George and Jane were watching television while Alice and Joe played on the carpet. Outside, the garden was bathed in soft moonlight.
Suddenly, little Joe pointed toward the window and said in his baby voice, “Mama… look.”
Jane followed his finger — and froze.
In the dim garden, a dark female figure stood facing the window, motionless, as if watching them. A cold shiver ran through Jane. When she blinked, the figure was gone.
The Escape ( fleeing haunted house)
That night, neither George nor Jane slept. By morning, they had packed their bags, determined to leave before sunset. As they drove away, the bungalow stood silent in the distance, the moonlight glinting off its windows which looked, to Jane, almost like eyes watching them leave.
They never returned to the haunted bungalow after that terrifying ghost encounter.
